The long-running beef between Southern Cali rappers, 40 Glocc and Compton rapper Menace, evolved into a physical confrontation on Saturday (May 21) when they ran into each other at the Los Angeles' L.A. Sports Arena.
40 Glocc was among over 20-plus hip-hop acts on the bill for an MMA, music festival and tattoo expo, dubbed Cage Vs Cons, which had been promoted across the city for months.
Apparently, Menace -- who is an affiliate of Game's Black Wall Street label -- heard about it, and attended to see if he could catch the San Bernardino rapper there.
While it's unclear exactly how things went down, two separate clips of the altercation have made their way to the Internet, both of which show 40 Glocc being jumped by several men, including Menace.
Shortly after the incident took place, Menace hopped on Twitter (@ComptonMenace) to reveal the news.
"Man of my f***in' word," the rapper exclaimed, referring to a previous promise that he'd fight 40 Glocc the next time he saw him.
"just beat ya n*** shorty coco up blood," he continued, in response to a follower. "Lol got both my chains and a bitch n**** blood all over me lol real n**** Sh**."
There are different accounts of what happened, but two clips give a little insight.
In one video, which is very dark and hard to make out, it's clear a melee had broken out in a private skybox suite at the venue. It's hard to see who is involved, but nearly a minute into the clip, 40 Glocc walks into a lit part of the area with his shirt torn and blood on his head, which he has since claimed was from damage he inflicted to one of his attackers.
In the second, clearer video (seen to left) -- posted earlier Monday (May 23) on ThisIs50.com -- both Menace and 40 are clearly shown fighting one-on-one for a few seconds, before several other men jump in and begin throwing punches at 40 from all sides.
After the melee, 40 took to his Twitter as well (@40Glocc), where he gives his side of the story, accompanied by a self-shot photo of himself, unscathed.
"LOOK AT ME AFTER 30 WEENIES JUMP ME LOL TELL THEM TO TAKE A PC THIS CLOSE!! THAT WASN'T NO MENISHA FIGHT THAT WAS 30 B*TCHES ON 1 CRIP..LOL!" 40 Glocc wrote. "N*GGAZ AINT BUILT FOR N*GGAZ OF MY BREED u can't get this juice cuz!
"I GET DOWN WHERE I GET MAD AT..ni*ga REQUESTED THAT HEAD UP..LOL I GAVE IT & 30 N*GGAZ JUMP IN & I WAS SOLO!..I EXPECT THAT THEY'LL REGRET THAT."
While 40 Glocc did enter the venue with Kurupt and other members of the Dogg Pound, he says his Zoo Life crew were not in attendance ... so, he was basically there by himself. He also says he actually initiated the fight by walking up and punching Menace, ripping his chain off his neck, and throwing it into the crowd.
We, however, cannot verify this.
The BWS rapper laughed off the claims, saying 40 Glocc is lying. Menace said his chains are safe, and also tweeted a pic of himself -- also looking fairly unscathed from the fight -- showing off a bloody knuckle.
"n**** lie so much .. what n**** would take a chain just to throw it away .. make since when you lie chump," Menace wrote.
"we can be friends now... lol but you cant get the money because i had to make him fight lol," he jokingly continued, referring to a previous offer to pay 40 Glocc to fight him.
Menace responded to claims he jumped 40 Glocc Monday, tweeting that his crew only jumped in to help out, only after someone with 40 Glocc started throwing punches. "Walked in a room full of n****z... and did my thang... Look at the tape him and black shirt tried To jump me .... piru gang...," he wrote. "what type of n**** still lie about the situation.. man up blood... i aint tripping when blood body gard tried to knock my head off blindside"
As of press time, 40 Glocc had tweeted several new photos of himself -- each with a smile -- as proof that he was not harmed ... at least, not too much.
