 XXL and Detroit rapper Elzhi, formerly of the group Slum Village, recently teamed up for a new LP/mixtape, dubbed ELmatic, releasing it as a free download.
The 10-track effort was produced, in its entirety by Will Sessions, and see the Detroit MC paying homage to Nas' classic debut, Illmatic.
It features guest appearances from Royce Da 5'9, Stokley Williams of Mint Condition, and veteran producer Pete Rock.
