Mobb Deep Set To Reunite On Stage For First Time Since P’s Release
It's been a minute since anything seen Mobb Deep together, onstage, since Prodigy has been incarcerated for a few years and was just released in early March.
P has been busy promoting his controversial tell-all, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy, but finally, fans will be able to catch them live and in the flesh very soon.
The legendary Queensbridge duo are set to reunite on stage for the first time in over three years next Thursday (May 12) for a performance at New York City's Best Buy Theater in Times Square. Yep, Prodigy and Havoc will be perform together.
They will headline an impressive line-up, which also features Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, the Roots' offshoot The Money Making Jam Boys, and DJ Stretch Armstrong, who is credited for having helped break Mobb Deep back in the early '90s.
Mobb Deep last performed at Prodigy's farewell show in Times Square back in February 2008, weeks before the rapper began serving a three and a half-year sentence for weapons bust from late 2006.
Next week's event will be hosted by Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg and ego trip founder Sacha Jenkins, who is also co-producing the event with promotions company LiveNDirect. Tickets are on-sale now at Theatrer.org.
Mobb Deep has also scheduled reunion shows on May 28 in Los Angeles, Calif.; May 29 in San Francisco; and on June 7 in Foxborough, Mass.
