Fresh off the release of his first new album in three years, titled Only God Can Judge Me, west coast vet Big Hutch makes his directorial debut with the music video for his new single, "Lord Have Mercy".
"The video is basically me in a battle with myself as far as dealin' with bein' a playa and someone tryna contain me and put me in a box. I think everybody will dig it," says Hutch. "I directed it myself, my first directing debut. So, y'all bare witness. (Laughs)"
"Lord Have Mercy" is the first in a series of videos set to follow, each of which relates to the next bringing together a continuous story line.
"It's kind of a gangsta love story, how I look at the game. When you're hustlin' you forget about the people that love you, you on the chase. There's a twist at the end, so you gotta see it" Hutch continues.
