Despite the possibility of a 2011 NFL lockout, the league announced its preseason schedule Tuesday (April 12) set to begin in August.
That is, of course, if there's no lockout.
The Chicago Bears will take on the St. Louis Rams in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, on August 7 to kick off the 2011 preseason, which will be televised by NBC at 8 p.m. ET.
The Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers will travel to Indianapolis on August 26, which will air on CBS, for their first nationally televised game since defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.
On ESPN, there will be four preseason games.
The games on the network include the San Diego Chargers hosting the defending NFC West champion Seattle Seahawks on August 11 at 8 p.m. ET; the New York Jets against the Texans in Houston on August 15; the Bears travel against the New York Giants on August 22; and Washington Redskins visiting the Baltimore Ravens on August 25.
Exact dates and times for games not shown on national TV will be announced later, said NFL.com.
Head over to NFL.com for the full preseason schedule. That is, again, if things go as planned and a lockout doesn't happen.
