NBA star Kobe Bryant -- who once tried his hand at a career in hip-hop -- has returned in an odd way, recently surfacing with a cameo in a music video for a Taiwanese star, Jay Chou.
Kobe appears in the beginning of the clip for the track, asking if the overseas star knows how to ball.
"You know how to b-ball Jay Chou?" Bryant asks, as a bouncy, Eastern-sounding techno beat kicks-in and leads the artist into some wild synchronized dances.
From there, Kobe appears randomly throughout the clip, taking Jay Chou on in a game of one-on-one, then later asks if he wants to play basketball or sing first, but Chou chooses to sing.

This isn't the first time Kobe has gone overseas to get paid. In 2009, the NBA star signed a multi-million dollar deal with Chinese web company Sina.com, where he would blog several times a week.
However, at press time, it was unclear if the the website was successful, being that it charged a $49.95 subscription fee just to get access.
