After working each, heavily, at the beginning of their careers, Missy Elliott and Timbaland went on to work with others as their careers took off. But, they're baccck.
In a clip, posted on Youtube over the weekend, the producer and rapper revealed that they've reunited, and obviously plan to collaborate once again.
"I told ya'll that we are back. Ta-daaahh," exclaimed Timbo in the viral clip, while Missy added, "Yes, we are."
When Elliott released his debut LP, Supa Dupa Fly, in 1997, it was Timbaland who helped the Virginia rapper mold the album, composing or taking part in nearly every track. It was the birth of a duo who has produced or had a hand in numerous hit songs ever since.
While both went on to become stars as solo artists, in recent years, they've taken a background role, helping to produce other artists' projects. That's all changing now though.
As part of "Timbaland Thursdays," Missy and Timbo dropped a track together called "Take Ur Clothes Off," and another called "Warped". Check them out over at TimbalandThursdays.com.
With the new video proclaiming their partnership again, it sounds like we'll be getting more in the near future.
