Inglewood rapper, Damani, just dropped his first new project in a long while, a solo concept project, titled On Vacation From Vacation, which he first revealed nearly a year ago.
In a recent conversation with Damani, he told us the free album would give fans a glimpse into the life of an "international player" such as himself, likened to the character in those interesting Dos Equis commercials the beer company has dubbed "The Most Interesting Man in the World."
"[I want] to give the listener a in-depth look into the lifestyle of an 'International Player,' sorta like if the 'Dos Equis' guy was a hip-hop artist," the rapper told BallerStatus of his album's concept.
The free project first took shape around that same time he announced it over a year ago, following countless treks around the globe ... and conversations with the opposite sex, of which helped craft the ideas behind the songs on Vacation.
"I got the idea of doing this album because of traveling and having VERY educational conversations with various women around the world. I just said to myself 'I'm just going to rap my life experiences,' " Damani explained.
During his world tour, Damani stopped in places like Dublin, Ireland; London; Brazil; France; Alaska; and even planned to go to Egypt recently, but "had to cancel" due to the recent uprising within the country.
On Vacation From Vacation features 13, brand new tracks from Damani, along with guest appearances by Latoiya Williams, Mitchy Slick, Snoop Dogg, Crooked I, and J. Valentine, among others.
On the beats, he worked with Daz, Soopafly, the Futuristiks, and a few others.
Three years ago, Damani was co-signed by Snoop Dogg, who helped the rapper promote and release his group, alongside Bad Lucc and Soopafly, called Dubb Union. However, Vacation is much different from the Damani you heard with the group, because -- as he puts it -- this is "just about me".

And, as far as the "free" pricetag, the rapper credits it to good manners. First round's on him.
"IT'S PRICELESS and I wanted people to hear quality music without having monetary strain," said Damani. "Bottom line is: it won't be free all the time, but this one's on me. It's good player etiquette to always get the first round."
