Oreo, the company behind the classic black and white cookie, began a campaign to earn the world record for the "Most 'Likes' on a Facebook Post in 24 Hours."
Well, they launched the campaign on Tuesday (February 15) at 9 a.m., and on Wednesday (February 16) Guinness World Records confirmed that Oreo had secured the record with 114,619 "Likes" to a single post.
Lil Wayne caught wind of this and decided to break that record, and launched his own campaign, smashing the record Oreo set hours later ... by nearly five-times the number Oreo recorded.
The rapper started his record breaking campaign four hours after Oreo's Cookies, and easily took the lead, thanks to his more-than 20 million fans on Facebook (Facebook.com/LilWayne).
At the time this story was published, Weezy had 608,342 "likes" on his single post.
Oreo's victory was short-lived at the hands of Lil Wayne.
