Snoop Dogg has been working with Adidas for some time now. Back in early 2010, he helped in the promotion of a Star Wars-themed line by the athletic giant.
Today, he's continuing his relationship with the company, recently revealing that he's signed a deal with Adidas for a line of his own custom sneakers.
The first pair of custom Snoop Adidas will pay tribute to his hometown basketball team: the Los Angeles Lakers. He showed off the first pair during the video shoot for he and Game's "Purp and Yellow" track.
The kicks come in a high-top model, and boast a purple, yellow, and black colorway, with a white trim.
Snoop expects the shoes to hit stores just in time for the this year's NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles next month.
"They coming out real soon for NBA All-Star weekend," he told DJ Skee on set. "Be sure to get a pair of them."
In February 2010, Snoop helped Adidas launch a special collaborative line with Star Wars by walking around Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood with a faux Darth Vader and a group of Storm Troopers.
The new shoe isn't his first try in the sneaker realm. Snoop previously partnered with Pony for a line of kicks called Doggy Biscuits.
