Following news that Gucci Mane was admitted to a mental facility, another rapper's mental state is being questioned -- his name Charles Hamilton.
According to XXLMag.com, the rapper is set to be accessed by a psychiatric facility, after his mental state was questioned by a judge in a recent felony assault case, which he's currently incarcerated for.
A clerk for the Cayuga County Court of Common Pleas told the mag that Hamilton will be evaluated by the court's psychiatric facility to see if he is competent to stand trial in the case.
Hamilton was arrested in December, in downtown Cleveland, for assaulting two police officers and resisting arrest.
Apparently, the rapper was involved in a bar crawl, and when police tried to get him under control, he allegedly struck one of the officers in the face, putting him behind bars on a $25,000 bail.
Hamilton will not receive another court date until his psychiatric evaluation is complete, which may take a couple of weeks.
This isn't the first time Hamilton has been admitted to a mental facility. Last July, news surfaced that the former Interscope signee checked himself into New York Presbyterian Mental Hospital to find "peace of mind."
"All I wanted to do and still want to do is make music," he explained. "It got to the point where I started talking in rhymes all the time, even in just regular conversations. And music just became me, so I thought it'd be a good idea if I checked into the hospital just to get my mind right."
He told XXL in August: "Honestly I can say I was in the hospital for a broken heart."
Stay tuned...
