The HRSMN Hard At Work On Debut, Prepping Single & Slaughterhouse Collabo

The HRSMNThe Four Horsemen, a hip-hop group formed years ago that never came to fruition, seem to be hard at work trying to finally drop their official debut.

Footage of the group, today known as simply The HRSMN, has surfaced over the last several months, showing all members working in the studio, tirelessly knocking out material of what will be their first album.

Consisting of Canibus, Ras Kass, Killah Priest and Kurupt, The HRSMN first collaborated on the single “Abide By” in 1998, a song which was re-recorded as “Horsementality” on Canibus’ 2000 album, 2000 B.C.

While things seemed to be moving forward in the foursome, recording contracts/legal issues served as obstacles in releasing an official album. So instead, the four rappers would guest on one another project’s over the next decade, until 2003, when Killah Priest released a nine-song project called The Horsemen Project, giving anxious fans a taste of what was to come. as a glimpse at what might have been.

Now, years later, footage of the rappers working together on the project has made its way to the Internet. Most recently, members Ras Kass, Kurupt and Killah Priest appeared in a UStream session, in which they let fans know The HRSMN album was coming.

“We got Ras Kass, we got Killah Priest and we got Kurupt/Young Gotti,” Kurupt said. “Canibus is, right now, out of town, doin’ work, but we’re over here doin’ it big. We’ve got the all star cast in here, bitch!”

Ras Kass has since compiled footage of that session and upped it to YouTube, revealing that they were working with Slaughterhouse for the album, while giving previews of some of the tracks.

“We doin’ that Slaughterhouse/HRSMN collab, ya dig?” Kurupt revealed. “House of Horses, the four Slaughters man, ya dig?”

The first single, off their upcoming, untitled project, will be a track called “Impossible,” featuring RBX. A video for the track is in the works.

We’re told the group is also set to perform at an upcoming MMA/music festival, called Cage Vs. Cons, in Los Angeles on May 21st. One of the first times, they will perform together as a group. For more info, visit CageVsCons.com.
