The LOX's Sheek Louch is striking out on his own, follow years of dropping solo project through D-Block Records, via their distro deal with Koch.
Now, recently joined Lox brother Jadakiss over at Def Jam Records, where he's signed a deal to drop his upcoming fifth solo project, Donnie G.
"I'm like a new artist right now," said Louch in a statement. "I feel great! Def Jam really feeling the energy, so I'm ecstatic, man, I'm excited!"
The upcoming album's first isngle is a track called "Quarter After 2," set to premiere in a couple weeks.
Further details regarding the new album were unknown at press time.
However, Louch is preparing the release of a new mixtape in support of his next solo album, titled Donnie Def Jam, and will be on the road with Ghostface Killah for a five-week U.S. tour kicking off in October and wrapping up in San Diego, Calif.
Louch has released four previous solo albums -- his solo debut in 2004 titled Walk Witt Me, 2005's After Taxes, 2008's Silverback Gorilla, and 2009's Life On D-Block.
Donnie G is set to drop December 7th.
