Last week, when Waka Flocka Flame said he didn't have any communication with longtime partner Gucci Mane in a Vibe.com interview, it sparked controversy around the net.

It got back to the rapper's mother Debra Antney of Mizay Entertainment, who previously managed Gucci, and she has since said she was angry, claiming the magazine misconstrued Waka's words.

"This is what I have to say to VIBE magazine. I am really kind of pissed off at you, for twisting the words up of Waka of the stuff he said," Antney said in a clip posted on AllHipHop.com. "Like [Waka] don't mess with Gucci, no he hasn't spoken to him in a minute. Y'all stop using the sh** of what happened, like Gucci fired me."

From the Q&A feature, posted at Vibe.com, readers took that Gucci's split from Mizay Entertainment created tension between the two rappers and ultimately ended their relationship.

"I ain''t got beef or anything, but [our relationship] has changed," said Waka in the piece, who also spoke to DJ Drama over the weekend and downplayed the beef chatter. "We don't talk anymore."

Antney previously managed both Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj, but both severed ties with Antney's Mizay Entertainment. The split came after federal lawsuits surfaced claiming Antney booked shows for Gucci without informing clients that he was scheduled to serve prison time.

Following Antney's statements against Vibe, the magazine decided to run a portion of their Waka Flocka Flame interview in audio to clear things up and to hear it straight from the rapper.

"In the clip, Flocka can be heard explaining his thoughts on Gucci and Nicki leaving Mizay Ent. and the effect that it's had on his relationship with his former mentor," Vibe said on their website. "Straight from the horse's mouth, Waka Flocka contests that he has no beef with Gucci Mane and that they are in no longer in contact -- just as we printed. Listen for yourself."
