After being released from Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix, Arizona two weeks ago, rapper DMX is set to surrender to authorities in Los Angeles to begin serving 2009 driving conviction.
X's publicist, Cassandra Cousineau, told BallerStatus.com, that the crime stems from a 2009 reckless driving case where he received sentencing late last year.
She says the rapper (real name: Earl Simmons) say he's "focused" on putting on his past legal problems behind him so he can move forward in his life.
"X has completed a drug rehabilitation program and is committed to resolving all legal issues and focusing on his sobriety," Cousineau said in a statement.
"From this day forward, you will see X as you have never seen him before. His business has become his number one priority," X's rep, Nakia Walker, added.
Earlier this month, DMX completed a four-month jail stint in Arizona ... where he served time for a probation violation.
As of press time, his camp says the rapper is "driving to Los Angeles to turn himself in, as mandated by outstanding warrants."
