Tashera Simmons revealed recently that she's officially separated from her husband of 11 years, rapper DMX ... and will star in a reality series without him.
In an interview with AllHipHop.com, Simmons explained that the upcoming reality series, titled "Tashera Simmons: Life After X," will chronicle her family's life without the rap star and their struggles with his drug and legal problems.
Additionally, she will explained the details surrounding her upcoming book, Tashera Simmons: Strength of A Woman, explaining that it is not solely intended to be a negative representation of DMX.
"It's not a tell-all, I want to clear that up," Simmons told the website. "It's a memoir, it's a story about our life, my life and our life together. My side of the story, because I feel like in his book, he didn't really get into detail to better explain it. I'm talking about everything, from my childhood when I was abandoned by my mother and left to take care of my siblings, to when me and Earl [DMX] first met at 11 and we got together at 18 and I'm starting from there until then on... It's a positive tell-all."
Her upcoming reality series has yet to land a home on a network, but she's currently shopping it and has various options on the table.
Her family last appeared on the BET reality series "DMX: Soul of a Man," which was recorded in 2006.
DMX was released from an Arizona jail earlier this month, after serving two months of a six-month sentence stemming from a March parole violation for drug use.
