Kid Cudi surfaced for a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Tuesday night (July 20) in New York, and explained a June arrest where he was charged with possessing liquid cocaine and kicking in the door of unidentified woman's apartment door.
While on stage with collaborators Best Coast and Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij for the exclusive Converse track "All Summer," Cudi explained that he was "wilding out" (in regard to the arrest), but is ok now.
"I know you guys were hearing some sh** about me in the news," Cudi told the fans. "I was wilding out and sh**, but I'm good now. I just smoke weed. I know n****s die when they 27. I'm 26 now, but I promise I'll live til I'm old as sh**."
Last month, the Cleveland rapper (real name: Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi) was arrested in New York City and charged with felony criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance.
Cudi reportedly took the phone of a 24-year-old woman and smashed it, and allegedly ripped her apartment door off its hinges. When cops arrived, Cudi was arrested and a glass bottle of liquid cocaine was found.
At press time, it was unknown what punishment he received or will face due to the charges.
