As the folks over at 2K Games gear up for the August release of their upcoming Mafia II title, the highly-anticipated follow-up to the original from 2004, the game developer has created a limited Mafia II Gun Lamp and sent them out to a select group of individuals.

Luckily, we were on their list ... and so was rapper Snoop Dogg, who was blessed with one during a recent visit to 2K Games headquarters to get a private hands-on preview of the upcoming epic mob title.

The Mafia II Gun Lamp is limited to just 200 pieces, each of which are individually hand-crafted and number exclusively for 2K Game's Mafia II game.

Mafia II is a sandbox-style action-adventure mob/mafia inspired title, and the sequel to the successful original Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. It gives gamers a beautifully crafted look into the dark and unforgiving world of the Mafia, where guns, clothings, cars, music and advertising are meticulously created to replicate an American city set in the '40s and '50s.

The story goes like this: Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito (the game's main character) is a beated down Italian American who is trying to escape the life of poverty tha consumed his childhood. Wanting to escape the life of hardship that his father led, he dreams about becoming a "made man," and the story continues from there...

Mafia II features action-packed gameplay, an epic gangster story, an immersive world and period, a 10-square mile world featuring beautifully rendered surroundings and music from the period.

The title is set to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 24th.
