Longtime urban line, Akademiks, is celebrating the brand's 10-year anniversary this fall with the launch of its Ultimate 10 Tour.
The upcoming tour is slated to kick off in fall 2010 in New York City. Tour dates will be announced soon.
This first installation of the tour will be seen in the Akademiks ad campaign placed in national magazines this fall.
The first stop will includes NYC talent such as Buffalo Bills linebacker Nic Harris; Kiante Sneaker Mann regional TV segment host; Akon's new artist Qwes Kross on 50/50 Konvict Music; new Universal artist Corte Ellis; World renowned club and radio DJs including DJ Self, DJ Skribble, DJ Suss One and DJ Mike Ness; Carlos Rodriguez of Revokt.com; and several others.
Akademiks was founded in 1999 by brothers, Donwan and Emmett Harrell, along with another group of partners. It was started on the ideal of pursuing truth in fashion. The company's mission is to inspire and lead a smart youth fashion revolution with a forward thinking collection that inspires individuality.
Since its inception, the brand has evolved, and pride themselves on making fear for "tastemakers who crave quality and detail," according to a press release.
