2010 seems to be the year for anticipated rap albums. You had Cypress Hill's comeback album in April, Eminem and Drake in June, now Rick Ross and Paul Wall are dropping this week ... and in the near future, Nicki Minaj is coming.
Question is: will Lil Wayne be dropping another release this year?
There's The Carter IV that everyone's been waiting on, and then Drake revealed he and Weezy will be working on a joint project, but both of those seem like they may come next year.
This year, however -- before Wayne is released from prison -- he'll be dropping an EP, reports Vibe.com. And, it's coming in September!
"I'm putting out a [Wayne] album called I'm Not A Human Being and I'll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27," Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne's co-manager and Young Money CEO, told the magazine.
Bryant goes on to tell Vibe that the album will be an EP of all new Weezy material, and will server as the a prelude to The Carter IV.
But, he says there won't be a huge marketing blitz for the project.
"We not about to roll out no three month set up," Bryant explained. "I'm not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give 'em a hard copy later for fan appreciation."
