W.J. Deutsch Sprits LLC (WJD) announced this week that their Landy Cognac brand will launch a marketing partnership with rapper Snoop Dogg.

As a part of the deal, the rapper will appear at the brand's events and promotions, and spread the brand at after-parties.

According to the company, Landy has been named "The New Generation of Cognac" by Beverage Media and Cheers magazine and a "Rising Star Brand." It even received 96 points from the Beverage Testing Institute for its XO, as well as a second consecutive "Double Gold Medal" for its VSOP by the 2009 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

So for Snoop to partner with Landy, it had to be good.
