Snoop Dogg Bets $20K On The NBA Finals Against Donnie Wahlberg
By Ronnie Gamble ♦ Published 06/15/2010

Snoop Dogg and Donnie WahlbergAlthough the 2010 NBA Finals are already on Game 6 with the Boston Celtics up 3-2, that's not stopping Snoop Dogg from putting money on the Los Angeles Lakers.

The rapper recently issued a public challenge to Celtics fans to put up or shut, reports TheBoomBox.com.

If you follow Big Snoop on Twitter (@SnoopDogg), you may have noticed that he and former New Kids On The Block singer Donnie Wahlberg have been going back and forth about the series for the past week.

Now, the rapper is taking his own advice, and in a recent video, he challenged Wahlberg to a friendly wager of $20,000 on the outcome, of which would be donated to the charity of the winner's choice.

Of course, Snoop picks the Lakers.

"What it do, Big Snoop Dogg, Lakers fan #1. Wahlberg what it do? Y'all want that bet? Let's get it crackin'," Snoop said in the clip. "20 Gs to your favorite charity, Lakers beat the Celtics, that's what it do!"

In response, Wahlberg saw Snoop's challenge and raised him one Radio City Music Hall humiliation, daring him to settle the bet onstage at Radio City during NKOTB's performance there, later this week.

"I'll pay for the flight, rooms and expense. The loser steps on stage in the other [team's] jersey to hand over the check!" wrote Wahlberg via his Twitter (@DonnieWahlberg).

Game 6 of the NBA Finals takes place on Tuesday (June 15) at 9 p.m. at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Donnie Walhberg still has money left over from New Kids On The Block or is his brother Mark really footing the bill?

I know it's kind of cheesey, but I like stuff like this. It adds a little extra interest for non-NBA fans and it benefits a good cause.

I just hope Kobe Bryant doesn't rape anyone else.

No disrespect to the king of the west but this is da dumb move to bet sumthing like dat.

For $20,000, Snoop could've bought out Adam Morrison's contract, & had Morrison follow him around everywhere he goes, like a living Lakers souvenir from the 2009 championship.

Are U stupid? or dumb? the money goes straight to charity either way.

I dont know if i should just smh, or kick ur ass for being so stupid.

  • Both a Snoop and Wahlberg fan

Lol at Frank- not at what he said, actually laughing AT him. He obviously doesn't know anything about pop culture outside of the little box he's in. Not gonna argue, just gonna leave it at that. *snicker*

FYI... this was strictly a win-win bet. A charity is getting $20,000 and the rest was just a bit of fun. It's nice to watch true fans and how far they'll go to show their support. Also, Donnie Wahlber isn't a FORMER New Kid on the Block... they are still playing together afterall.

Congrats Snoop and I'm sorry Donnie... green and white suit you much more. I'll shed a tear for you when you have to walk out in the purple and gold jersey ;)
