It's been a decade since she dropped her revered debut album Dirty Harriet, but former Flipmode Squad member Rah Digga is back... she announced this week that she'll be release a brand new album in September, titled Classic.
The project will be her sophomore release, which her camp says is "rife with the ambidextrous vernacular that has ranked her unquestionably among the best MCs of all-time."
Classic will feature Rah Digga spitting exclusively over Nottz production, keeping each instrumental all to herself.
From the sound of it, there will be no guest features here.
After a decade of label politics and concentric side-projects that landed her appearances on notable records by the likes of The Fugees (on their classic debut, The Score) and Busta Rhymes along with mentions in major publications. The former first lady of Busta's Flipmode Squad is back to doing what she does best and doesn't let anyone get a verse in edgewise.
The introduction song is a percussive lead single, titled "This Aint No Lil' Kid Rap". On "Viral," the female MC acknowledges the superficial virtual-realities of the nü-record industry.
