The Season 3 premiere of Aaron McGruder's popular Peabody Award-winning animated series, The Boondocks, set an all-time series rating high on Sunday (May 2).

According to Nielsen statistics, a total of 2.55 million viewers tuned in for the premiere episode, the highest overall audience delivery for the show since the series' first season in 2006. And, helped the Adult Swim network score its best ratings for an original series in over a year.

Additionally, since Sunday, the episode has been streamed from AdultSwim.com over 200,000 times and currently ranks #1 in its time period versus basic cable competition in all key demos.
