The Notorious B.I.G.'s widow, Faith Evans, is in a little trouble with the government, specifically the IRS for delinquent taxes, said reports.
According to The Detroit News, the 36-year-old singer owes more than $360,000 in back state and federal taxes.
Here's the breakdown, reports the paper:
- The IRS filed a $36,360 lien against Evans on March 4 with the New York City Register's office.
- The IRS filed a $119,821 lien against Evans on Feb. 16 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds.
- The state of New Jersey filed a $204,000 lien against Evans on Oct. 30, 2008, with the New Jersey State Superior Court.
Evans and/or her camp had not commented on the report at press time.
Despite the tax problems, the singer recently announced that she is preparing the release of a new studio album and a reality TV series with E1 Music/TV, formerly known as Koch Records.
The series is titled "It's All About Faith," which will hronicle Evans' return to the music scene after a 5-year hiatus.
