It made the word "Boomshakalaka" a widely used term in basketball during the 90s, thanks to its popularity in arcades, and now, the addictive NBA Jam arcade classic is poised for a comeback.

Last week, we posted the trailer for the revamped version of the title for the Wii, due in December. Now, more about the game are being revealed.

From what we see in the trailer, the revamped version will be quite similar, big heads, half-court dunks, the catch phrases ("Boomshakalaka," "He's on fire," and "Kaboom"), etc. But, all new players will be added.

This is where fans come in.

EA Sports have been allowing fans/gamers to vote on the three players they feel each team should have. The polls began in mid-January and now ends in two days, on Monday (March 22). For each team, you're allowed to vote for three players.

ESPN blogger, Marc Stein, did a break down of the original two-man pairings in the 90s arcade version, EA's six nominees for all 30 teams, and also added in the three-man rosters he wants to see.
