It's been less than a week since rapper Lil Wayne turned himself in to begin serving a one year prison term, and so far, officials are making sure he's isn't being treated as a celebrity.
According to TMZ, the rapper (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.) has been instructed by prison officials not to sign a single autograph while incarcerated.
A rep for the Correction Officer's Benevolent Association told the site officials issued a no autograph mandate because "Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in here."
The rep also said that since being locked up, Weezy hasn't received any special treatment at Rikers Island. But, he hasn't requested anything out of the ordinary either.
The rapper is serving one year for a gun charge stemming from a 2007 arrest.
If he's good while behind bars, he could be out after serving just eight months.
