Things just keep getting weirder in the drama surrounding the current health condition of legendary rapper Guru.
Now, according to a recent blog by Biggest Gord (manager of DJ Premier's Year Round Records), the rapper's nephew Justin Nicholas-Elam Ruff headed into New York last week to visit his uncle, but was denied.
Gord says he picked up Ruff at the airport last Friday (March 5), and the following day they headed to the hospital to visit Guru, but were told they were not allowed by hospital staff.
"[Justin and I] approached the information desk in the main lobby of the hospital, we were asked 'How can I help you gentlemen?' by the intake woman at the front desk. Justin replied... 'I'm here to visit my uncle Keith Elam', " Gord explained.
"The rather nice, but professional older woman who asked the first question raised her eyebrow and responded 'lemme check the list' Her first response after checking the first list was ... 'well your name is not on this list let me check the other list'. She then continued ... "oh ok, your name is on this list. I'm sorry I cannot allow you to go see the patient' ".
According to Gord, the first list were of names allowed to visit Guru, while the second included names of people barred from seeing him, which Justin's name was on.
"Justin Nicholas Elam-Ruff's name was on that second list ... TRUTH!!" Gord exclaimed. "Oh soooo many questions ... his attempt to see his uncle at this point in the saga was denied!! Fact!!"
Guru, best known as one half of the popular duo called Gangstarr, is currently hospitalized as he recovers from an undisclosed illness that caused him to go into cardiac arrest in late February.
Since news broke of his condition, several different stories have surfaced regarding a dispute between the rapper's family and his producer/partner Solar.
Justin Ruff released a last week accusing Solar of barring he and his family from visiting Guru. Solar denies the allegations, calling them lies and further claiming the rapper's family.
In Gord's blog, he ended by saying he'll "continue this tale soon."
