The folks over at Activision are gearing up to release an extended pack of music to add to their turntable-focused title, DJ Hero.
Joining their already extensive soundtrack is brand new downloadable mixes from hip-hop legends, as well as Jay-Z and Eminem, the game's "Renegade Edition" headliners.
Beginning March 18, 2010, living room DJs will be able to mix, scratch and battle with a new Jay vs. Eminem Mix Pack, featuring exclusive mash-ups such as Em's "Shake That" mixed with Jay's "Show Me What You Got"; Em's "Without Me" mixed with Jay's "Encore"; and Jay's "Can I Get A..." mixed with Em's "Lose Yourself."
The Jay and Eminem Mix Pack drops in the Xbox Live Marketplace on March 18, and in the Playstation Store and Wii on March 25.
Additionally, Activision has already released an "Extended Mix Pack 01" which features: 50 Cent 's "All Of Me" mixed with Queen's "Radio Ga Ga"; and Gorillaz's "DARE" versus Public Enemy's "Can't Truss It".
And a "David Guetta Mix Pack 01" contains remixes of tracks like "When Love Takes Over" featuring Kelly Rowland, the chart-topping "Sexy Chick" featuring Akon, and "On The Dance Floor" featuring will.i.am and apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas.
Both packs are available in the Xbox Live Marketplace, and on the Playstation Store.
The DJ Hero "Renegade Edition" is out now. It includes a copy of the game, a premium "Renegade" turntable controller, hardshell turntable carrying case that converts to a performance-ready DJ stand, and an exclusive Jay-Z and Eminem 2-CD pack featuring "best of" and new, unreleased material.
Cop the regular DJ Hero at Amazon.com for $99, or the Renegade Edition for $150.
