Singer Keyshia Cole and her NBA fiancé, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel "Boobie" Gibson, welcomed a brand new baby boy into the world on Tuesday (March 2).
According to US Magazine, the 28-year-old singer gave birth to the couple's first child at around 11:54 p.m. on Tuesday.
He weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz., and was named Daniel Gibson Jr.
"The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time," Cole told the magazine in a statement. "Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist."
Cole and Gibson got engaged in January, and also announced that they were expecting. According to reports, the NBA baller surprised the singer with a huge rock on New Year's Eve.
"When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted... her mouth dropped in amazement," a rep told Us. "It's too beautiful for words."
Cole's best friend, singer Monica, also shared the good news via her Twitter page (@MonicaMyLife). "Little Daniel is the cutes[t] baby. KC did great, he's a beauty. Glad I have 3 phones room for my two & hers on my screensavers. God is amazing," she tweeted.
