Lil Wayne was set to begin serving a one-year jail sentence this week, stemming from a 2007 gun charge.
However, his sentencing was delayed for the second time on Tuesday (March 2), thanks to fire at the courthouse.
According to the Associated Press, a fire broke out in the basement of the New York City courthouse Tuesday, forcing an evacuation and closure of the building, and a postponement of Weezy's sentencing.
Courts spokesman David Bookstaver said the blaze started in a wooden contractor's shed, and no one was seriously injured.
It is the second postponement of the rapper's sentencing. Weezy was originally set to begin serving time in early February, but a judge delayed it due to an emergency dental surgery and re-set the date for March 2nd.
But, the fire delayed it once again.
Update: He is now scheduled to be back in court on Monday (March 8).
Lil Wayne pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
