Last week, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney made headlines when news broke that he had gotten into an altercation with an unidentified passenger on a flight to Los Angeles.
Well, that unidentified passenger was reportedly LMFAO member Sky Blu, who explained the incident in a video posted on the duo's official YouTube channel (YouTube/Redfoo).
According to Sky, it was Romney who initiated the altercation, and not himself, as indicated by initial reports.
Reports indicated that Sky became "physically violent" first after Romney asked him to put his seat up, but Sky says it was the other way around.
The rapper says that he was tired, after attending the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, so when he boarded a flight to Los Angeles, he leaned his seat back while the plane was still on the ground ... and Romney got angry and began yelling at him.
"I'm trying to just adjust myself, so I can go to sleep," Sky Blu explained. "I just hear this guy, he's, 'Sir, sir, put your seat up!' I thought it was a flight attendant at first ... and he says again, 'Sir, put your seat up!' A little louder and more angry towards me."
Because Romney was rude, according to the rapper, he refused. Then Romney reached out, put his hand on Sky's shoulder and asked him again to put his seat up. Blu said he knocked Romney's hand away, thinking nothing of it.
"His wife screams. ... They're getting loud, so then the flight attendant comes over, and I try to get louder than them to plead my case. 'No, the man assaulted me! I was protecting myself!' I might have thrown a few cuss words in there," the rapper explained.
The rapper says he was escorted off the plane and detained shortly, before he was given a ticket for the next flight out. No arrests were made.
Despite the argument, Blu says he has "no hard feelings" toward the presidential hopeful.
Romney has not commented on the incident.
