Inglewood rapper Damani, best known as a member of Snoop Dogg's group Dubb Union, is gearing up to feed fans with a free album.
According to HipHopDX.com (HHDX), Damani announced Monday (February 22) the upcoming project, titled On Vacation From Vacation, would be a platform to help further establish himself as a solo artist.
"I'm doing a free album because I'm an artist, but also a consumer as well, and I want to prove myself first before I demand peoples money," the rapper told HHDX.
Damani continued, explaining that while most may know him as a member of Dubb Union, he's always been a solo artist.
"I've always been a solo artist, I started the Dubb Union group with Snoop as a side project to build momentum for each of the group members solo efforts, including my own," he said.
The upcoming project features appearances from Daz Dillinger, Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dogg on its first single, "Here Comes Damani."
At press time, the release date for On Vacation From Vacation was unknown.
