So, the dental surgery that postponed Lil Wayne's sentencing in his New York gun case was actually pretty serious.

According to TMZ, the rapper under went the much needed dental surgery on Tuesday (February 16), which included eight root canals.

And, he did them all in one sitting.

It was reportedly an eight-hour procedure, where Wayne got several tooth implants re-done, more implants added, and had the few real teeth he has left repaired.

Earlier this month, Weezy appeared in court to begin serving a one-year incarceration for a 2007 gun charge. However, his legal team asked that his sentence be postponed for emergency dental surgery, which the judge granted.

The judge rescheduled his sentence for March 2nd, giving the rapper enough time to heal.
