Diddy's all-girl pop group, Danity Kane, were an instant hit when they were formed in 2005 on the MTV reality show, "Making The Band." However, less than four years later, they were dismantled during the season finale of the show's fourth season.
Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods were removed, while former member Dawn Richard was placed into a new group called Dirty Money.
However, there's no doubt, Danity made an impact, and Richard is looking to capitalize, which is why she recently entered into a partnership with eigoMANGA for a series of Danity Kane comics.
"I am excited about the partnership between eigoMANGA and Danity Kane Comics," Richard told SingersRoom.com. "We are moving Danity Kane Comics into a new frontier. We want to merge the worlds of comics and music together and we have started on the road to doing so."
The upcoming comic books series is currently in production, and is created by Richard, while Kim Jimin will be creating the illustrations and Natasha McGough is writing the story.
According to their official website, the Danity Kane comic book tells the story of a naive, yet powerful youth sent from a distant planet to liberate her people while combating a secret war between them and their oppressors.
The series will debut in Spring 2010.
