Earlier this month, Hip Hop Weekly magazine founder Benzino teamed up with Requiem Clothing to bring together a group of young Haitian artists for the recording of a tribute song for the devastated nation.
Haitian artists such as Black Da-Da, Redd Eyez, Billy Blue and Melky Jean (sister to Wyclef) worked with Benzino, who served as the track's executive producer, for a three-day stretch in Miami during Super Bowl Weekend.
The result is a heartfelt tribute track to Haiti called "Mamman Pa Crie (Mama Don't Cry) – A Requiem To Haiti", which all parties hope will help raise awareness to the ongoing situation in the poor country.
During the three-day period, the artists came together to shoot a music video. It was directed by R. Malcom Jones, and was shot on location throughout the Little Haiti section of Miami, as well as at the Oasis Audio and Video Production studios in Aventura.
It also got a boost from Wyclef Jean himself, who was on deck for the music video, calling ita "big song."
"It's an international, worldly song and I was happy to be a part of the video," he said.

The accompanying music video is set to hit the Internet later this month.
