In December, Kid Cudi made headlines when he was caught on camera punching a fan during a concert in Vancouver. Just recently, the rapper apologized.

According to TMZ, Cudi called the fan, Michael Sharpe, over the weekend to apologize.

Sharpe said that Cudi credited the punch to alcohol, saying he had too much to drink that night.

The fan also added that the rapper offered to fly him out to New York for an all-expenses paid weekend. At press time, however, nothing had been confirmed.

Cudi has yet to comment on the incident, or the supposed apology.

Shortly after the punch last year, Sharpe reached out to TMZ, giving them a photo of the damage and revealing that he had no plans to press charges.
