Soulja Boy was hit with a fine and probation recently for an arrest in Atlanta last year where he reportedly fled from police.

According to local news channel WSBTV, the rapper (real name: Deandre Cortez Way) appeared in an ATL courtroom this week where he pleaded guilty to obstruction charges, and was sentenced to 12 months of probation and a $1,000 fine.

The charge stems from an arrest in October, at an abandoned Atlanta house where he was shooting a music video.

Police received complaints from neighbors that a group of kids were hanging around a home in Stockbridge, 20 miles south of Atlanta, which appeared to be abandoned. When they arrived, Soulja Boy -- and several others -- fled the scene on foot.

Soulja Boy later returned to retrieve his car, but police were still there. He was arrested, and charged with obstruction.
