New Orleans rapper Mystikal, who was recently released from prison after a six year bid, is set to headline his first concert later this month.
According to TheBoomBox.com, the rapper will headline a concert during Mardi Gras dubbed "Mystikal and Friends" at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for Performing Arts in New Orleans on February 16.
Tickets for the event are selling for $36-$63. Tickets are available at TicketMaster.com.
Mystikal was released from prison in January after serving six years for a sexual battery charge.
In a recent interview with New Orleans' Q93 radio station, he expressed his excitement of being freed and the regret he feels about the decisions he made that lead to his incarceration.
"I'm back! I'm still tryin' to feel this reality. It still almost feels like a dream," Mystikal said. "Six years off the scene, for most rappers, it'd be over with. Man, it's gon' be the beginning for me and I'm finna get my reparations."
During his prison stint, he says he had wrote "hundreds of songs", and plans to hit the studio immediately.
