Lloyd Banks was allowed to leave Canada after being detained by Canadian immigration officials, following his arrest last week for assault.
The G-Unit rapper was arrested during the early morning hours last Saturday morning (January 9), after he allegedly assaulted and robbed local promoter Chris Hines over unpaid appearance fees, said reports.
Banks performed at Club NV in Brandford, near Ontario, Canada last Friday (January 8). Following the performance, he tracked down Hines at a local hotel, held him against his will, and attacked him ... with three others.
"There's a little more to the story, like I said, I don't want to get into it too much," Hines explained. "[Banks] was paid in advance. We got into a confrontation. Of course, they assaulted me and kept me there for a little while. It was probably, like, for 20 minutes, 30 minutes. They had me there for quite some time ... Like, I worked for the guys for years and I don't really know what the f*** they were thinking. If they were watching a movie earlier, I don't know what that's about. The whole incident that night had nothing to do with me, and everybody knows that."
Banks and his associates were charged with criminal confinement, aggravated assault and robbery.
The rapper was released from jail after posting $50,000 bail, but was held by immigration officials. He is now free, and on his way back to the States.
One of his associates, Nicklas Sloane, remains in custody.
