NBA Star Carmelo Anthony, LaLa Vazquez To Marry This Summer

Carmelo Anthony and Lala Vazquez After a long five year engagement, NBA star Carmelo Anthony is finally set to wed his fiancée, former MTV VJ LaLa Vazquez, this summer.

Vazquez made the announcement when she appeared on the "Wendy Williams Show" on Wednesday (January 13), saying the couple would marry in New York City.

She's reportedly hired celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss to plan their big day, whose planned weddings for heavy hitters such as Heidi Klum, Shaquille O'Neal and Gwen Stefani.

"I like her work, so I hired her to come on board for my wedding," Vazquez told Williams.

So far, Vazquez said Kim Kardashian and Solange Knowles, will be in the wedding "in some capacity," and plans to invite around 250-300 people.

The couple have a three-year-old son named Kiyan. She posted family photos of herself, Carmelo and Kiyan last year when she launched a personal blog.
