Emerging singer/producer Mike Posner had a minor setback over the weekend, when his home in North Carolina was robbed, reported Vibe.com.

According to Posner's Twitter page (@MikePosner), robbers stole all his music equipment while he was on the road for a string of performances in Dayton and Cleveland, Ohio.

When he returned, Posner saw that his home had been burglarized.

"Shout outs to the people that robbed my house and took all my music equipment," he tweeted sarcastically on Monday (January 11). "Thanks. Appreciate your hard work and determination."

Last year, Posner inked a record deal with J Records, following the buzz surrounding his debut mixtape, A Matter of Time. Now, he's working on his debut album, reportedly titled The New Deal, which doesn't have a time frame for release just yet.

According to Vibe, Posner recently landed a deal as one of the faces of LRG's Spring 2010 advertising campaign.
