2009 took yet another life from the hip-hop community. Three major DJs have already pass -- Roc Raida, DJ AM and Mr. Magic -- and now, one more joins them in heaven ... DJ Omega Supreme, of Organized Konfusion fame.

The respected DJ passed away two days before Christmas on Wednesday (December 23), following a long bout with cancer, said reports.

His death shocked close friends and family who all reportedly believed his illness was in remission.

"It was a total shock to me. The last time I saw him, he looked like he had beat the cancer," said fellow Organized Konfusion rapper Prince Po.

According to Po, Omega was a devoted and loyal friend, and that's what he remembers most about him.

"He was the best supporter I ever had," the rapper said. "He was never the type to try and be out front of the show, but ever since I've known him -- from high school on -- he would come to all my basketball games, my shows, always happy to be there for me. He was a true friend."

Omega Supreme (real name: Andre Kyles) was best known for his work with rap duo Organized Konfusion. The group was founded formed by rappers Prince Po and Pharoahe Monch in the early 90s, with Omega being their original DJ. Together, they released three critically acclaimed albums, before both emcees went on to pursue solo careers.

The DJ also worked closely with numerous labels to help break artists and also served as a mamber for artists, including Brooklyn rap group Da Bush Babees.
