Jay-Z is 40 years old. While in hip-hop growing older can sometimes mean you are unable to appeal to the genre's core fanbase (the youth), the Brooklyn feels his reign as a hip-hop superstar is far from over.
The rapper dropped a new music video, for his "Young Forever" track, bragging about staying power as if he were frozen in time, staying forever young.
The clip popped up online on Tuesday (December 22), showing images of the hip-hop mogul juxtaposed with scenes of children and young people taking part in youthful activities while Jay-Z performs onstage. It features shots of kids at the park, some frolicking in a cornfield and breakdancing, others skateboarding ... this all while Mr. Hudson brings in the track with the chorus.
According to MTV, the video is meant for overseas airing only, but the video can be viewed on Jay's YouTube channel.

The clip was directed by Anthony Mandler, who also did his previous "Run This Town" single earlier this year, in addition to Rihanna's "Russian Roulette" and T.I.'s "Live Your Life".
The next official music video from Jay's The Blueprint 3 will be the Swizz Beatz-assisted "On to the Next One," which is tentatively scheduled to premiere next month.
