 Popular 90s comedian Sinbad is reportedly broke, and has filed bankruptcy after being hit with some hefty paid due tax bills from the government.
According to The Detroit News, the 53-year-old comedian (real name: Sinbad Adkins) owes more than $8.15 million in delinquent federal taxes, court filings indicated.
Now, the U.S. Attorney General's office wants his house sold to help pay down his debt.
Earlier this month, a federal judge was asked to foreclose on several tax liens and determine whether or not Sinbad was the owner of a $1.5 million home in Hidden Hills, California.
The very next day, he filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy.
In the late 80s and early 90s, Sinbad was a big star. He began his career on "Star Search", followed by roles on sitcoms and movies, before landing his very own show on Fox.
He's appeared in films roles sporadically since.
