Two new Eminem songs hit the net last week (December 3) -- both reportedly to appear on the re-release of the rapper's Relapse album, titled as Relapse: Refill.
As usual, one of the tracks is causing some familiar controversy.
On a track titled "Elevator," Em raps about ... well, how he has an elevator in his home and recalls cracking jokes with his late friend Proof about it.
"I used to sit and goof on the phone with my friend Proof," he sings on the chorus. "That if I went gold / I'd go right through the roof/ He said, 'What if you went platinum?' / I'd just laugh at him/ 'That's not happening / That I can't fathom.' "
Then, as the song continues, he calls out three pop stars, two of whom are former "American Idol" contestants.
"Sorry, Lance, Mr. Aiken and Lambert, ain't gonna make it," Em spits, before taking a crack at their sexuality. "They get so mad, when I call them both fake / It's all these f***ing voices in my head, I can't take it / Someone shut that f***ing baby up, before I shake it."
Those bars have struck a cord with some of the gay community. According to TheBoomBox.com, gay websites are sayings Em is back to his old homophobic ways.
"Eminem cleverly avoids using the word 'f*****" in his new song 'Elevator' when referring to Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken, replacing it with the words 'fake it's," states Towleroad.com, a site which refers to itself as "More than gay news for more gay men."
The blog adds, "Of course, phonetically, it sounds just like 'f***ing."
Adam Lambert didn't seem to agree, when he tweeted the following in response to the rapper's song: "Wow, Eminem mentioned me in a song?! I must be doing something right!? Even if he used the 'F word,' whatever," which he followed with, "Oh, he says 'fake it.' My bad."
The second song making its rounds is "Buffalo Bill," which is the villain FBI agents are after in the classic "Silence of the Lambs" film.
On the track, Eminem dissects what's going on in the mind of the psychotic film character, via Slim Shady, as he spits about cutting and severing limbs, and skinning women.
