DJ AM had a crazy sneaker collection, boasting more than 800 pairs. Before his tragic death in August, the celebrity DJ announced, via his Twitter profile (@DJ_AM), that he was working on a collaboration with NIke for his own version of the Dunk Hightops.
Well, photos of the limited kicks hit the internet recently, building anticipation for their release.
"This is one of the most amazing moments," AM tweeted earlier this year. "I just HELD the sample of MY OWN NIKE DUNK. I never dreamed this would happen. Wow, THANK YOU G0D."
The DJ AM Nike features a black and red reflexive patent leather colorway, a grey Nike swoosh, and AM'a AC/DC style logo on the tongue in red, outlined by yellow.
To finish it off, the shoe's heels feature a small pattern of circles that reference the belt of a Technics 1200 turntable.
The photos of the new Nike shoe comes as an eBay auction of DJ AM's personal shoe collection for charity, comes to a close. Organized by Undefeated shoe stores and the Creative Visions organization, all proceeds from the acution will benefit the DJ AM Memorial Fund. New shoes are set to be put on the auction block through the first week of December.
