The man who assaulted and robbed Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member, Bizzy Bone, in January was sentenced to 12 years in prison recently, after admitting the incident was done in benefit of a street gang.
According to the Associated Press, Marlo "Bow Wow" Jones and three co-defendants pleaded no contest to residential burglary on Tuesday (November 24) in Los Angeles and were immediately sentenced in the January robbery.
His co-defendants were sentenced to six to 19 years each.
Bizzy Bone (real name: Byron McCane) was beaten and choked in his Universal City hotel room and stripped of his jewelry.
Jones was arrested days later when police spotted his vehicle, which was identified as the vehicle used in the crime.
At the time, he was a contract employee for the anti-gang organization Unity One, a subcontractor under the city's gang intervention program.
The incident sparked criticism of publicly funded gang intervention programs, which rely on former gang members to help police prevent violence and get gang members out of the life.
