Keeping a rapper's name alive after his untimely death is usually on the shoulders of his crew. While Bun B is doing his part, Pimp C's wife Chinara Butler wants her late husband's name to remain ... and is putting best efforts forth in December with the first annual Hip-Hop and Health/Wellness Fair in honor of the late rapper.
On December 4th, UGQ, Inc. (founded by Chinara and Pimp C) will team up with the CCM Foundation and S.E.A.C (Syphillis Elimation Advisory Committee) to bring fans the inaugural Chad "Pimp C" Butler Hip Hop & Health/Wellness Fair in their hometown of Port Arthur, Texas.
The fair goes down from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Port Arthur Pavilion, and is set to be held every year on December 4th, the unfortunate day the hip-hop world lost the late, great Pimp C.
The event was founded in remembrance of Pimp C in an effort to raise awareness for our youth today, whom sometimes lack the resources or even the knowledge to realize the importance of regular physical exams, frequent HIV/STD testing, drug prevention and abuse.
The Port Arthur Health Department will be in attendance to provide these services, along with free vaccinations, as they are dedicated in promoting a healthy community.
There will be a small donation fee of $5.
For the small donation, Port Arthur residents will also get to enjoy live entertainment from special celebrity guests (TBA). They will also hold a hip-hop MC Battle for contestants who take an HIV/STD test with the winner taking home $1,000.
