Country sweetheart Taylor Swift dominated Sunday's (November 22) 37th annual American Music Awards at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre, taking home five awards including Artist of the Year. But, the late Michael Jackson was right behind her with four honors -- his brother Jermaine was there to accept.
Wearing a single bejeweled white glove, his Jermaine Jackson hit the stage to accept each award, stressing that his late brother's message was just as important as his music.
"The message that Michael had will live on forever," he said. "He saw good in everyone and he wanted everyone to do good. He always started with love."
Of his four wins, MJ won in the Favorite Male Artist Soul/R&B and Favorite Male Artist Pop/Rock categories.
In addition to the big winners, the three-hour awards ceremony consisted of big performances, some the highlight of the evening. The likes of Rihanna, Eminem, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, among others put on memorable stage shows.

While Lady Gaga probably had one of the more out there performances, Rihanna made her return to the stage, performing "Wait Your Turn," the second single off her upcoming Rated R album. She was strapped to a rotating metal frame that turned her upside down. Then, with the help of her dancers, she was unstrapped and hopped around the stage.
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys hit the stage to perform their Billboard Hot 100 topper, "Empire State of Mind." Keys started with an ode to the iconic song, "New York, New York," as Jay stood by her piano in a white tux. She returned later during the evening for a solo performance of "Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart."
Toward the clost of the show, Eminem took to the stage for a performance of his single, "Crack A Bottle," alongside 50 Cent, as well as the single "Forever," while the Black Eyed Peas put on a laser light-assisted medley of songs including "Meet Me Halfway" and "Boom Boom Pow."
Jennifer Lopez also hit the stage to perform her new song, "Louboutins." Her show was complete with actual boxing ring, championship belt and dancers dressed as fighters. During her performance, she took a little spill, but jumped right back up and continued on like it didn't happen. Check YouTube for the footage.
Whitney Houston was honored with the International Artist of the Year award, joining only six other winners (including MJ) in the history of the AMAs.
